Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all administrative aspects of client data collection to return filing and other administrative duties. This role demands excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of work accurately and efficiently, particularly during peak tax season. This will start as a project through busy season, but can lead to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tax Processing & Filing: Process individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns using specialized tax software. Experience in Lacerte software is a plus.
  • Scanning: Scan all necessary client financial documents.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain organized and confidential client records (both electronic and paperless), manage electronic filing workflows, and assist with general administrative duties as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of paid experience in public accounting or a dedicated tax processing role, preferably handling a variety of returns.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess/ProSystem, Lacerte/ProConnect, Drake Tax, or similar).
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
